The Northside softball team had the base running carousel going in full stride Monday afternoon at  Patrick Henry.

Taking advantage of a series of walks and a bases clearing double by Lyndsey Spangler, the Lady Vikings scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back in topping the Patriotrs 17-4 in non-district softball.
The Vikings added 6 runs in the top of the second, and the 10-run margin was more than enough for Viking starter Gabby Taylor to cruise to the win in the circle.
Northside leadoff hitter Madison Via led the Viking attack with four hits.
Patriot leadoff hitter Allison Ripple led PH with a pair of hits.
