William Byrd jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and the Terriers bats stayed hot as Byrd knocked off Cave Spring 9-2 in non-district baseball last Friday at Knights Field.
Byrd third baseman Timmy Meador led the Terrier attack with a pair of home runs. Starter Dallas Chocklette picked up the win for Byrd, holding Cave Spring to three hits in his five innings of work.
Zach Utterback paced Cave Spring with two hits.
