This past Sunday, Salem Stadium was once again the site of a huge victory for the Roanoke Valley. Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) hosted the 2016 Fields of Faith Celebration which brought over 1,800 athletes, coaches, parents, youth groups and community members together.
The event gave attendees the opportunity to hear testimonies from students of how God is working in their lives on athletic fields, in the classroom, within their families and throughout the community. The stadium was filled with worship music, and all heard a powerful, and moving testimony from former Harlem Globetrotter Seth Franco.
Many decisions were made for Christ, and the evening ended with the playing field at Salem Stadium circled in prayer for our students, coaches, schools, community, and nation. It was a night to remember, one that praised and honored Jesus Christ with one message that united us all in prayer to serve the Lord.
