Addressing the theme “Roanoke Rising,” eight new Art in Roanoke (AIR) sculptures will be on display in Elmwood Park for two years.

During Festival in the Park on May 24-26, the public will have a chance to vote on their favorite piece and the winning artist will receive a People’s Choice Award. Citizens may click here to vote.

According to Susan Jennings, Arts and Culture Coordinator for the city, this is the fifth AIR exhibition and the second to use Otocast, a free downloadable app where users can tour the exhibition and hear the artists speak about their work. More information on Otocast is available here.

You can learn more about the Art in Roanoke project by contacting Susan Jennings at 540-853-5652 or [email protected], or visit the website.
