DICK BAYNTON: The Dimensions of Deception

Recently the front pages of newspapers, TV screens, radio news reports and talk programs have been immersed in the surprise information that $400 million in various currencies was sent by an unmarked plane in the dead of night to Iran.

Why cash, why not just wire the money? Why was the shipment under cover of darkness? Why were the ‘released’ prisoners on the tarmac of the airplane bringing them home waiting for a plane to land before they could take off?

President Obama announced the release of four prisoners in January of this year and later said that the U.S. would pay Iran $1.7 billion for a failed 1979 arms deal. Does anyone remember Presidents Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Clinton or George Bush mentioning such a debt?

Here’s some important information about the transfer of cash. First of all, we now know what the ransom cost of a U.S. citizen is: $100 million (as set by the Iranians). The following information is critical; because the funds were in cash, it will not be possible for anyone to track who the final beneficiaries are. Hamas and Hezbollah and other Islamic terrorist organizations may benefit from our gift. Our donations may be spent on weapons, beheadings, mass kidnappings of little girls, suppression and murder of Christians and of course the deaths of U.S. and other allied military men and women. Iran will capture more foreigners for ransom.

Mr. Obama has said he is committed to closing Guantanamo just as he had promised in 2009. We keep hearing that ‘Gitmo’ is a recruiting incentive but Mr. Obama nor anyone in this administration has provided evidence that verifies the President’s illusion conclusion.

About 30% of released prisoners return to the battlefield. Since we have just given away tourist flights to Cuba for six U.S. airlines to be cranked up this fall, we will dump millions of tourist dollars into the pockets of the Brothers Castro to extend their tyranny at least another few years.

The Castro regime kept Alan Gross in jail from December 2009 until December of 2014. Alan was a subcontractor with a U.S. agency that was dedicated to international development. Joanne Chesimard, now walking the streets of Havana as Assata Olugbala Chakur, was the assassin of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in 1973. Tyrants welcome murderers like Chesimard but imprison people trying to help others like Alan Gross.

Many of us remember that the President promised annual reductions in family healthcare of at least $2,500 and ‘keeping your Dr. and your insurance company’; those benefits did not materialize. Now, in 2016, Obamacare is literally in a death spiral. UnitedHealth Group, Aetna, Humana and Anthem are on the run after suffering growing losses related to the State ‘exchanges.’

Bob Kocher in a WSJ op-ed (8/1/2016, p A11) entitled, ’I Was Wrong about ObamaCare’ discussed one of the fundamental faults of ObamaCare. Dr. Kocher was a special assistant for healthcare and economic policy to President Obama in 2009-2010. ObamaCare depends heavily on Medicaid, a plan aimed specifically at vulnerable and ailing low-income people and minorities. This annual $500 billion program is expected to explode to nearly $900 billion over the next eight years, a 78% increase.

Although the President touts the economic recovery since 2008, it is now reported as the weakest recovery since 1949 with economic growth pegged at 1% for 2016. Productivity is decreasing at a .5% rate, workforce participation rate is at a new low of 62.9%, wages for 16 to 19-year-olds is over 25% and unemployment among Blacks exceeds 8%. The trade imbalance with China through June exceeds $161billion. Taxpayers are on the hook for about $500 billion in student loans.

Immigration policies to be extended under a Hillary regime looks like this: Obama wants to allow thousands of refugees to enter our country without background checks. Some Islamist nations sentence gays to death and allow the denigration of women, condone stoning, lashing and beheading. The cost of welfare support in the U.S.will accumulate to billions of dollars.

If Hillary wins the White House in the coming election, the United States will suffer perhaps the greatest 12 years of deception in the history of all mankind.
