The mountains of Southwest Virginia have come alive this week with their vibrant and striking cloak of fall colors. Robin Scott of Roanoke captured this high valley scene not far from Roanoke on a country road in Newport. She said she was looking for a place with more red leaves in the scenery and found this area that “really popped.” She also added, “The mountains in our valley and surrounding areas are so beautiful this time of year – we are so blessed! ” We couldn’t agree more.
