“Great Race” Sweeps By

The Hemmings Motor News Great Race came through the Roanoke Valley Sunday evening on its eight-night trek from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Bennington, Vermont. The race, which includes a route that covers 1500 driving miles, shows off the numerous vintage and antique cars that participate and raises funds for a variety of charities along the way. The weather throughout SW Virginia during the event was picture perfect and enthusiasts were able to view the vehicles close-up and personal during the “cruise-in” at the Salem Civic Center. Above: A very rare 1916 Hudson Roadster is one of the stars of the tour.
