Meredith Swanson fired back-to-back rounds of 72 to win the women’s championship in the Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame tournament that concluded Sunday at Blue Hills Golf Club. The former Hidden Valley standout and current University of South Carolina golfer won her fifth HOF title with a six-stroke advantage over runner-up Lyndsey Hunnell.
In the men’s competition, Scott Wise used a late surge for a one-shot win over Justin Young, Ben Firebaugh and George Perkovich. It was Wise’s third HOF championship.
