The Virginia Gentlemen, Roanoke’s premiere a cappella chorus invites the general public to join them for their 47th annual show to be held at Jefferson Center Shaftman Auditorium, 541 Luck Avenue, S.W. on Saturday, November 5 at 4:00 p.m.

The performance, Seasons of Love, is a musical excursion through a story of romance. Succinctly summed up in the Fifties Medley which serves as a “trailer” to the show,  the story progresses in song through the different, yet predictable, phases of love: from the initial “I just fell in love!” to the “We’ve been married for forty years” kind of love.  No matter where you are in your love story, you will surely be entertained by the Virginia Gentlemen as they sing their version of a love story to you.

Guests, the 2015 Mid-Atlantic District Quartet Champions Last Men Standing, will bring straight-up, lock-and-ring barbershop harmony to the show.  Capriccio, a female quartet will also be featured.

The Virginia Gentlemen has been entertaining audiences in the Roanoke Valley since 1970 and is the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The Chapter’s Virginia Gentlemen chorus appeals to men and boys of all ages seeking to be part of a high quality vocal performing group known for its fun, fellowship and service.  The organization is a 501(c) 3 and provides scholarships to college bound high school students.

As members of The Harmony Foundation, grants are also available for promoting vocal music education in schools and communities.  For more information, visit www.roanokebarbershopharmony.org.
