Mill Mountain Theatre Presents A Midsummer’s Night Dream

“Lord what fools these mortals be!” Audience members of all ages will escape to the enchanted forest in Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Mill Mountain Theatre invites you back to see its first live performance since the start of the pandemic this May.

The classic Shakespearean comedy will feature young actors from across the Roanoke Valley. We are happy to present this show outdoors and socially distanced on the front lawn of Heights Community Church.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream marks Mill Mountain Theatre’s first in-person show since Write Stuff!, which was performed in early 2020. Mill Mountain Theatre looks forward to this occasion while keeping safety as its top priority.

“With the first in-person show of the 2021 Season, we are looking forward to putting all of our preparation into action,” said Ginger Poole, Producing Artistic Director. “This is a very important step for MMT as we move from virtual performances to outdoor in-person performances, and eventually to welcoming our patrons back inside the theatre.”

This Pay What You Can performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will include the distribution of free books to students as part of our initiative connecting theatre to reading and literacy. If you would like to learn how to donate books, please visit millmountain.org/donate.
