Goodwill stores will be open until 8 pm on New Year’s Eve to receive donations of clothing and household items. Donors will receive a donation receipt that may be used for tax purposes when they donate.
Goodwill also accepts monetary donations online through its website at www.goodwillvalleys.com/donate. Donations must be made by 11:59 pm in order to receive a donation receipt for use during tax year 2018. Donations postmarked by December 31, 2018 will also receive a tax receipt. Last year 89% of revenues generated directly supported Goodwill training and employment programs to help people get back to work and gain greater independence. You can be assured that the donations entrusted to Goodwill are used to help people with disabilities and disadvantages overcome barriers to employment and achieve a level of independence to participate more fully in life.
