The City of Roanoke has issued a Request for Qualifications for the design and fabrication of artwork to be displayed on the plaza of the new Melrose Branch Library at 2502 Melrose Ave. NW. Artists or teams of artists who would like to be considered are invited to submit an application to the city. The link to the application can be accessed here.
This is a two-step, qualifications-based competitive negotiation process. The first step is to submit the required application materials. In the second step, up to four qualified offerors will be selected to submit a complete proposal and, if not awarded a contract, will receive an honorarium of $1,000. The deadline to apply is Aug. 31.
