The Smith Mountain Lake Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society held their spring workshop this past Saturday. For the first time in several years this event was held at two different locations. A presentation on the design and construction of a steam launch was held at the home of Mark and Ellen White.
Shown above is Mark’s home built steam launch. A second presentation on fiberglass restoration of an outboard boat and experiences learned in restoring a 1942 Chris Craft Deluxe Runabout was held at the home of George and Joan Blosser.
