DICK BAYNTON: Will the Trap be Disabled?

Fellow travelers, we are being led into a trap. Seriously, the trap is set and we are stumbling right into it. This is no joke. Think about what has been happening with the lies about healthcare and how it is now imploding with premiums skyrocketing. Here’s a new lie from the resident President; he says he read about Hillary’s private server at the same time as we did but with new E-Mail revelations, that probably isn’t true. There were photos of the White House command room when Bin Laden was killed but no photos when four U.S. personnel were killed in Benghazi.  Obama is trying to extend his presidency to three or four terms by electing the first woman president to succeed the first Black president. If Mrs. W.J. Clinton becomes president, she will simply be a proxy for BHO & WJC.

Do you ever hear Mr. Obama or Mrs. Clinton mention the national debt approaching $20 trillion? Does this administration brag about the increased welfare rolls or the reduced military? Do we hear why the President said Syria’s Assad had to leave and now Putin of Russia has taken over Syria and is bombing the Syrian rebels we were trying to help? Both President Obama and candidate Mrs. Clinton propose bringing in Muslim refugees without credentials. We should be learning from the Europeans that many refugees have limited job skills; many are showing their appreciation in host countries by creating petty disturbances and even committing crimes against women and shopkeepers. Has anyone heard why no Christian refugees are scheduled?

The strong points among refugees are that they absorb a lot of free healthcare, food, housing and sustenance welfare payments. Sure, it is generous of countries to help tyrants that want to get rid of passengers on their ships of state, but such help comes at great cost that bursts budgets in countries that take in these outcasts. It is true that we are a world power but it is also true that our per capita debt is $61,000 and debt per taxpayer is $165,000. Our debt will continue to grow as we pay for student debt delinquencies, higher healthcare costs, interest on the national debt and out-of-control entitlements while the Fed keeps interest rates low.

Virtually all refugees must be trained in language and other school subjects in elementary, high schools, trade schools and colleges. If refugees have no skills and no financial resources, the host countries also have to pay all these costs without offsetting tax revenues.

By now, you must have the trap figured out. It is the total failure of our government leaders to adopt and practice sensible spending, taxation and immigration habits. The liberal policies are large government staffing to support myriad rules and regulations, endorse disturbingly bad agreements with nations like Iran and Cuba and spend money instead of practicing self determination both internally and internationally. Our leaders are willing to cast off our cultural habits while lavishing benefits on both legal and illegal aliens.

While all this spending and new taxes are being levied, the economy is fairly stagnant with dormant worker wages. Yes, the deck is stacked against wage earners and although industry gets blamed, the real responsibility is misdirected bureaucratic government (think generous foreign trade agreements).  The ‘trap’ that we are walking into consists of spending money we don’t have, introducing concepts we don’t understand and the practice of secrecy and total lack of transparency of government.

Here is the ‘DNA’ of totalitarian government: Special justice for government elites like Mr. Obama and the Clintons. The Resident President is completely opaque on both domestic and international issues of major importance such as the Affordable Care Act, the Iran nuclear ‘deal’ and The Pacific (Trade) Partnership Agreement (TPPA) The two top teachers’ unions contributed more than $22 million to Obama’s last campaign to keep schools politically-oriented instead of student-focused. Trade unions committed $78 million to make sure the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) made favorable decisions.

The trap is set; to render it harmless we need new leadership and direction for our great nation. “Oh what a web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” –Sir Walter Scott, Scottish writer, playwright, poet (8/15/1771-9/21/1832)
