site-shot-show2In the ongoing commitment to market the Roanoke Region and attract people, jobs, and investment, the Roanoke Regional Partnership has launched a redesigned website: Roanoke.org.

The new site consolidates the Partnership’s information resources into one web address and serves as a launching point for visitors seeking an array of information on the Roanoke Region. The site now provides a portal to doing business in the region, living here, small business resources, and outdoor recreation to its nearly 300,000 annual online visitors. Roanoke.org is now a one-stop shop for users looking to live, work, and enjoy the Roanoke Region.

“There is so much story to tell about the Roanoke Region, we had to find a way to better connect people with all that information and so many resources,” said Beth Doughty, executive director of the Roanoke Regional Partnership. “From starting a business to expanding one to living here to finding a good hiking trail, there’s now one doorway that’s easy to find and navigate and tells a well-rounded story about the region’s assets.”

The improved functionality and layout of the new Roanoke.org design will allow business decision makers to easily access valuable information on doing business in the Roanoke Region. In addition to presenting the region’s business assets front and center, the new site provides up-to-date state and local demographics, incentives, economic advantages, and available real estate. Visitors will also find success stories, economic reports, recent headlines, and interactive maps.

Get2KnowNoke.com promotes the Roanoke Region as a desirable place to live and play. The site provides data, information, and links on costs, education, housing, the arts, sports, and area attractions and is accessible through Roanoke.org.

RoanokeOutside.com now also connects people with the region’s outdoor recreation culture through Roanoke.org. RoanokeEntrepreneur.com, a site for small businesses and start-ups, is also part of the Roanoke.org menu.

“Over time, the Partnership has developed more and more ways to communicate critical information over multiple websites,” said Doughty. “Now we’re expanding the reach and effectiveness of each site through a portal.”

The Roanoke Regional Partnership is a public-private organization that markets Alleghany, Botetourt, Franklin and Roanoke counties, Covington, Roanoke, Salem, and Vinton for business attraction, expansion, and retention. The organization also is the home of Roanoke Outside which works to build an outdoor recreation economy through tactics such as the Blue Ridge Marathon, Go Fest, a weekly newsletter, and website dedicated to the outdoors.
