The 16th annual Book & Author dinner will be held Friday, April 11 at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center. Sponsored by the Roanoke Academy of Medicine Alliance Foundation, they have raised over $550,000 for a variety of local charity and educational organizations. This year’s recipients will be Greenvale School, Healing Strides, Project Access, Saint Francis Service Dog Foundation, and the RAMA Foundation Scholarship fund.

The format of the evening will include a VIP cocktail party, a sumptuous dinner, followed by John Carlin, well-known Channel 10 co-anchor of evening news as emcee and three outstanding authors whose presentations never fail to delight. Book signings will follow.

There will be an absolute first this year! RAMA is excited to announce that Sugarfoot will be greeting our guests at the Roanoke Book and Author Dinner. Sugarfoot was the 2011 Horse of the Year for Healing Strides of Virginia and awarded the State 2012 Therapeutic Riding Association of Virginia (TRAV) Horse of the Year. Superstar Sugarfoot was also presented the 2013 Region 3 Horse of the YEAR Award at the 2013 PATH Int’l National Conference in Orlando Florida. This year’s presenters are up to the high standard set by previous authors:
