Paul C. Kuhnel, shareholder at the national law firm LeClairRyan, has been recognized as a 2014 Client Service All-Star by the BTI Consulting Group, Wellesley, Mass. (BTI).
BTI conducted over 300 individual interviews with corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and large organizations and asked clients about every aspect of law firm relationships, needs and priorities; the law firms clients rely on; and client expectations for client service.
Client Service All-Stars are nominated solely by clients in an objective, independent study. No one can self-nominate or pay to be a BTI Client Service All-Star. The only vehicle for becoming a BTI Client Service All-Star is to be nominated by a client in an unprompted manner. Approximately 330 attorneys nationwide received this recognition for 2014.
Kuhnel focuses his practice on professional liability defense — including hospitals, physicians, engineers, pharmacists and nursing homes, and has been involved in high-stakes litigation in the trucking and trucking brokerage industry. He has also represented individuals and corporations in commercial disputes as well as brokers in both the financial and real estate industries.
He regularly lectures on risk management issues and has authored numerous articles, including co-authoring the first chapter of the Virginia CLE Volume, Insurance Law.
Kuhnel is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the American Board of Trial Advocates Virginia Chapter and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. He also sits on the Board of Project Access of the Roanoke Valley.
