Roanoke Star Photographer Terry Aldhizer set out last week to get a picture of the rising Harvest Moon and found the sky to be too clouded-over to do so. But something told her to stick around and just before she was getting ready to leave her location near the Explore Park in Roanoke County a slit in the clouds opened up and acted as a natural filter for the “Harvest Sun” that was setting in the west.
