Parkway Edges Faith Christian 42-41 In Jingle Bell Tourney

Faith Christian’s Charlie Graninger races upcourt past a trio of Parkway defenders.

Faith Christian saw two shots from inside the paint roll off the rim in the last ten seconds, and Parkway Christian ecscaped with the 42-41 win Saturday afternoon in the Jingle Bell Tournament consolation game at the Faith Christian gym.

Parkway looked to be in solid control after going on a 9-0 run to end the third quarter, taking a 35-23 lead to the final frame.

But, the Warriors from Faith clawed back to take a 41-40 lead in the final minute when Charlie Graninger stole the ball and hit a layup for Faith Christian’s first lead of the contest.

Parkway answered with under 30 seconds left before the Warriors set up the final play that came up just short.

Isaac Elliott led the Faith Christian scoring with 18 points, while Nick Alterio added 9 for the Warriors.
