Charles Vassar of Troutville was the Overall Points Champion in the 2012 Roanoke Valley Senior Golf Tour. Playing in the Senior Golf Tour’s 10th year, Vassar finished first place out of a field of 130 players by accumulating 844 points total and a 25th place average finish for the season’s nine tournaments. He collected a first place Dick’s Sporting Goods gift certificate, a first place silver golf cup, and a traveling trophy.
