The North Cross and William Fleming varsity Lacrosse teams squared off on Tuesday night to sharpen skills and get a measurement of where they are relative to other programs in the valley. The Raiders who have been fielding lacrosse teams for over 25 years had a distinct advantage against the Colonels who are only in their third year of organized play. The Raiders team scored early and consistently and looked to be working out the kinks against Fleming’s less experienced players. Both teams begin their seasons on Friday with North Cross opening up against New River Valley at home (5:30 PM) and Fleming traveling to Lynchburg to take on E.C. Glass (7:30 PM).
