Adult Care Center Receives Major Donation

The Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley has received a ,000 capital campaign grant from the Friendship Retirement Community’s charitable community fund.  The check was presented by Ted Feinour, Chairman of Friendship Retirement Community’s Board of Directors, to Frank Pittard, II, Chairman of the Adult Care Center’s Board of Directors.  The grant will be used to assist the center in paying for their new building in Salem

Sue Nutter, Executive Director of the ACCRV, noted that this is our largest capital campaign contribution to date.  “The center is very appreciative of Friendship’s gift and their involvement with dependent adults in the community,” said Nutter.

The Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley is the only licensed provider of adult day health services in the valley.  They provide daytime care for dependent adults, mostly elderly, and respite for their caregivers. The new center offers daily activities, socialization, medical supervision, medication management, proper nutrition, outings and bathing.
