Dancers (L to R) Kate Oborn, Abigail Bagliani, Courtney Hood, Shannon Toole, Maria Jessee, Bria Gepitulan and Sarah Francisco are all smiles as they wrap up a scene in a recent performance of The Nutcracker by the Southwest Virginia Ballet. The cast of 150 performers represents 19 different dance studios and 53 elementary, middle, and high schools across the region. These young dancers join Southwest Virginia Ballet’s corp of 46 company dancers and a number of adult performers. This year will mark SVB’s 13th performance of The Nutcracker.
