Roanoke 16 National Volleyball Team Has Big Season

TeamWithCaptionS SmallThe “Next Revolution N Volleyball” 16 National Team has competed in 8 tournaments this season, winning one, placing second twice, and placing 5th in the 90-team Shamrock Festival. The team is composed of 10 girls from 9 schools and was the #1 ranked team in the Old Dominion Region from March 2 – April 5. Their final action will be April 27 – 28 in the Revolutionary Rumble in Williamsburg, Va.
The members of the team in the picture are (front row) Morgan Stone (Magna Vista High), Annalee Lowman (Patrick Henry High), Carden Clark (Northside High), Kayla Goumas (Jefferson Forest High). On the back row are tema members: Amelia Dalton (Faith Christian), Greysen Newberry (Lord Botetourt High), Katie Martin (Liberty High), Michelle Kembel (Lord Botetourt High), Erin Newell (Hidden Valley High) and Alexandra Arnold (Roanoke Catholic School).  Tom Houser and Audrey Fizer are the team’s coaches.

  1. Tom Houser and Audrey Fizer continue to draw exceptional talent year after year. He has a true gift for working with these 15 & 16 year old ladies and molds them into a cohesive Unit (Team) . They ooze of great sportsmanship and team spirit. Even years after they have played together, they stay in touch and continue to care about one and other. Congratulations Tom, Well Done!!
