Virginia Economic Developers Association Names New President

Ann Blair Miller

Ann Blair Miller, director of project management for the Roanoke Regional Partnership, has been elected 2013 president of the Virginia Economic Developers Association (VEDA).

The organization represents professionals in economic, industrial and community development throughout Virginia and serves as an educational and networking resource for those shaping economic development public policy.

“It is an incredible honor to represent an amazing group of professionals who work to attract and nurture jobs and investment in the Commonwealth,” Miller said. “VEDA continues to influence economic development policy and supports the tools and programs that the economic development profession needs to keep our state’s – and region’s – economy strong.”

Miller joined the Roanoke Regional Partnership as an economic development specialist in 2002. She has served as vice president of the VEDA.

Miller is a graduate of Radford University and the Basic Economic Development Course of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She is currently participating in the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
