Lynsey Barker in perfect postion to dig a hit from Eastern Mennoniteon Tuesday night.

The North Cross Volleyball team defeated inter conference and inter division powerhouse Eastern Mennonite Tuesday night at The James Muscaro gym at North Cross. In an exciting game the Raiders overcame the Flames in 5 games 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 17-25, 15-4. Gussie Revercomb and Piper Roe led the Raiders with 19 kills and 13 kills, Alexandra Martin had a career high 44 assists in the win – the senior also achieved her 1000 career assist earlier in the week and is about to hit 100 aces in serving. This last regular season win clinches a playoff spot for North Cross in the VISAA D2 – the Raiders (back to back D3 winners) have been moved up to the bigger division because of an increase in the number of female students at the school. Conference playoffs begin on 10/25 and Division playoffs on 11/8.
