Roanoke Symposium to Address Housing Challenges

The Roanoke Regional Housing Network (RRHN) invites you to its biennial Housing Symposium on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Charter Hall at the City Market Building (32 Market Square SE, Roanoke, VA 24011).

The year’s symposium, “Evolution of the Housing Ecosystem: How We Can Navigate the Ever-Changing Landscape of Housing,” will bring together housing experts, policymakers, and community leaders for an in-depth discussion on the challenges and opportunities in the housing sector.

The keynote address will provide an encompassing overview of the Gateway Project, which will involve the development of workforce/affordable housing in the Southeast neighborhood of the City of Roanoke.

In addition to the keynote, the symposium will feature a diverse array of presenters and panelists from various professional backgrounds and industries, who will cover topics relating to affordable/workforce housing development, housing market trends, local housing resources, community land trust efforts, homeownership assistance programming, services for vulnerable and underserved populations, and many more.

The registration fee is $40.00, and the deadline to register is April 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
