Write-in candidate Merrie Turner grew up in the Roanoke Valley where her father, US Army Lt. Col. Arrington Brent Turner began Turner Construction following his patriotic service
in World War II where he fought on the beaches of Normandy to defeat the Nazi war machine of Hitler. Turner says that she likewise recognizes the battle for the soul of America and is answering the call of God to run as a Write-In candidate for Mayor following former President Trump’s near death experience in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Her pro-life advocacy and Real Estate background sets her apart from the mostly democratic contenders for the Office of Mayor of Roanoke City.
Turner is a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 7 who all live in Virginia. She feels that hosting the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast, in Washington, DC since 1993 has given her faith to restore Greatness to the Roanoke Valley with a conservative platform of Faith in God, Family, Country and Gun Rights.
