BPS Charities and The Nature Conservancy Team Up to Host “Walk Green 2019 Roanoke”

BAPS charities is working with The Nature Conservancy under their plan to plant Billion Trees in north America by 2025. BAPS charities has planted 300,000 in last three years and in this year will be planting 61,000 more trees. The group is organizing a two mile walk intended to create awareness for a healthy environment by planting more trees. The event is family oriented and three is no admission fees.

BAPS Charities is a 501-c-3 charity active in nine countries across five continents. The group organizes volunteer drive efforts, dedicating a portion of their lives in selfless service to others both in their local neighborhoods as well as globally. BAPS charities focus on five keys areas Health Awareness, Educational Services, Humanitarian relief, Environmental protection and preservation and Community Empowerment.

Walks are organized in 76 cities across North America in 2019 and Roanoke will be joining for the first time this year. This will become a annual event for the Star City.
