Roanoke Paw Watch is designed to encourage neighbors to assist law enforcement by acting as extra eyes and ears while out walking their animals.
The program is not a “K9” or dog training program for citizens. Instead it is strictly an observe-and-report program to encourage residents to maintain situational awareness while walking their animals.
Created by the National Association of Town Watch, Paw Watch is a national program with more than 2,000 jurisdictions involved. More information is available here.
