Star contributing photographer Terry Aldhizer went up to the top of the Roanoke City parking garage on June 30th to capture “Heaven’s Light” as she called it – which was to be the once in a lifetime closest configuration of Jupiter and Venus in the western sky. Instead she was given an awesome display of “Heaven’s Fire” as it came down over Roanoke County and Salem to the northwest. Aldhizer has a growing reputation for her amazing photographs taken in and around the Roanoke Valley. The old adage “you never know unless you go!” is one she lives by in pursuit of her uniquely beautiful natural images and it sure has paid off. Keep ’em coming Terry!
