Cave Spring’s Fallon Delp returns a shot Monday afternoon at Hunting Hills as the Knights topped Fort Defiance 5-0 in a 3A West Girls Tennis quarterfinal.

Cave Spring’s Fallon Delp defeated Fort Defiance’s Whitney Kiser 6-0; 6-0 in the #1 singles match, then teamed with sister Reagan Delp in the #1 doubles to knock off Kiser and Carly Wine as Cave Spring won 5-0. The Knights advanced to a semifinal showdown at 3:00Tuesday afternoon against Spotswood at Hunting Hills Country Club.

Caitln Carter defeated Wine 6-0; 6-0 in the #2 singles, Reagan Delp knocked off Whitney Witerow 6-0; 6-0 in #3 singles and Veronica Hamilton gave Cave Spring its fourth point at singles with a comeback 2-6; 6-4; 6-3 win over Ashley Crickenberger.
That set the stage for the Delp sister’s clinching point at doubles that stopped play in the #5 and #6 singles between Cave Spring’s Christy Goldsmith and Bianca Roman and Fort Defiance’s Maya Simmons and Alyson Senger.
