Local ” Big-11 ” high school football teams have begun preparation for their 2014 campaigns as the official start of practice, according to VHSL regulations, was allowed to begin on July 31st.
North Cross, as a VIS member, kicked off their preseason sessions the week before, while some VHSL schools waited until Monday to assemble their squads.
North Cross will open its 2014 season on Friday, August 22nd when the Raiders go on the road to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. The rest of the ” Big-11 ” will open their seasons on Friday, August 29th.
