We have enjoyed some “picture-perfect” weather for several weekends in a row and last Saturday it helped attract record crowds to the Foxfield Race in Charlottesville. Race organizers verified that over 20,000 fans attended the bi-annual multi-race steeplechase event that originated in 1978 at the Foxfield Race Course.

This year’s May race included not only the requisite horse racing, but a virtual in-situ Spring fashion show from race-goers and UVA students in attendance. The Fall Foxfield Race, designed as a family-friendly event, will be held on September 28th.

The above picture perfect picture was captured by non other than almost picture perfect Roanoke Star Sport’s Editor Wild Bill Turner. (In his now infamous Loudmouth pants.)
