Local Dealers Donate CPR Training Devices To Local Girl Scouts

New car & truck dealers from the Roanoke area presented Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline with four “Resusci Anne” training manikins. The presentation took place last week at the First Team Nissan dealership in Roanoke.

The donations of the “Little Anne” Four Pack are gifts of the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation and are funded by contributions of franchised new car and truck dealers in local communities.  These CPR manikins are provided free of charge to the receiving organizations and will be used to train volunteers and the community in the life-saving skills of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.

The donation was requested by George Pelton of First Team Hyundai Nissan Subaru VW and Sally Woodson of Rick Woodson Honda in Roanoke. Tammy Shank, Chief Development and Marketing Officer and Denise Hayes, Chief Operating Officer accepted the manikins on behalf of the Girl Scouts.

The Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline will train over seventy volunteers in CPR training. The Girl Scouts require all of their troop leaders and volunteers to be CPR certified.
