Patrick Henry Falls Short in 3-1 Quarterfinal Loss to Langley

Patrick Henry outside hitter Sarah Miller launches a kill past a pair of Langley defenders.

Patrick Henry used a fantastic rally to take the opening game, but in the end Langley had too much muscle, as the Patriots fell 3-1 in state quarterfinal volleyball Tuesday night in the packed PH gym.

Langley seemed on cruise control early in the opening game, jumping out to an 18-11 lead before the Patriots stormed back. Langley served for game-point ahead 24-23, but PH held off the visitors, tieing things at 24, then going on a 3-1 run to secure the win.

Langley regrouped, however, taking the final three games 25-22; 25-20; 27-25. Patrick Henry finished their season 20-11.
