William Fleming hung tough, but Franklin County scored 14 fourth quarter points to pull away from the Colonels Friday night at Fleming.

Fleming quarterback Miles Henderson plunged in from one yard out in the third quarter to cut the Eagle lead to 21-16 before Franklin County took control with a pair of TD runs in the final frame.

Franklin County had scored 13 unanswered points to open the contest before Fleming got on the scoreboard with a 23-yard field goal in the second quarter. After a 42-yard touchdown catch by Franklin County’s Eric Harris extended the Eagle lead, Henderson scored from one-yard out to close the Colonel deficit to 21-10 heading to the halftime break.

Jonathan Hagins led the Fleming rushing attack with 111 yards on 22 carries. Henderson, making his debut behind center for the Colonels, was an impressive 10-for-16 through the air.
