Downtown Roanoke, Inc. (DRI) supports the City Manager’s efforts to improve and propel Elmwood Park forward. Elmwood Park needs enhanced and expanded performance space to host the current slate of events, community performances and touring acts; it should be enjoyable and used by the community throughout the year; its natural beauty, green space and function as downtown’s “green lung” should be nurtured and improved. DRI encourages the City to begin to invest now in this work so that Elmwood Park will be enjoyed by generations of Roanokers to come.
