LewisGale Hosts 2nd Annual Red Dress Tea

The event featured a panel of physicians who took questions from the audience. (L-R) Karen Annis, M.D., Caroline Kramer, M.D. Ph.D., Jacob Neathawk, M.D., Molly Rutherford, M.D., and LewisGale’s Joy Sutton, who moderated the discussion.

The afternoon tea hosted by LewisGale felt a lot like a relaxed lunch with good friends, but it was designed to bring extra attention to heart health all year long, not just in February (heart health month). Joy Sutton, Marketing Communications Manager at LewisGale, said that “we want people to know their numbers,” referring to bone density, height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar – those statistics that help people get a handle on their heart health. The event targeted women, who often don’t realize that heart attacks are a major killer for them as well as men. Sutton added, [we want to] “empower them to take care of their health.”
