Attending college requires a large investment on the part of students, parents and the community. Students invest time. Parents invest money and resources. The community also invests time, money, and resources into a students’ success.
As a result of the investment made by community members, businesses, organizations, and non-profit groups, the Virginia Western Educational Foundation was able to award nearly $150,000 in scholarships to 118 students, for the 2010-2011 academic year. An awards ceremony was held to recognize the scholarship recipients and donors. (Pictured Above).
