Gramercy Row Host Grand Opening in Celebration of Project Completion

gramercyrowHist:Re Partners LLC developer Lucas Thornton has announced the opening of Gramercy Row located at the corner of Williamson Road and Church Avenue in Roanoke.  The Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting ceremony was held on Friday, October 28 at 11 a.m. at the 206 Williamson Road location.

As the first new-build in downtown Roanoke since the construction of the Social Security Regional Administration Building in 2009, Gramercy Row creates the feel of a Roanoke street with its variegated storefronts, and extends east of downtown Roanoke across Williamson Road.

The mixed-use development integrates private garden courtyards with a convenient downtown location.  The 82 apartments feature state-of-the-art amenities.

Gramercy Row is the first residential building in Southwest Virginia to incorporate Cox “Gigablast.”  This feature is Cox’s fastest Internet ever, offering speed up to 100x faster than average broadband.  Gigablast delivers speed to power all in home devices at the same time and offers the fastest in-home WiFi available, lag free streaming, and extremely speedy downloads.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to be part of this Development,” said Developer Lucas Thornton. “Working closely with Branch & Associates and the City of Roanoke to stretch the boundaries of downtown has been a terrific opportunity. We hope the 82 residential apartments and more than 5,000 s.f. of commercial office space that we have built will help add to dynamism and incredible revitalization that is taking hold in our community.”

Thorton also thanked Hawk Advisers, formerly of Roanoke County, for moving their headquarters downtown, mentioning that the architectural design firm brought 17 new full-time positions to Roanoke City.

Gramercy Row’s central location is said to “ensure convenience and culture.” Everything Downtown Roanoke has to offer is indeed only steps away, including Elmwood Park, more than thirty restaurants, shops, museums, galleries, the City Farmer’s Market, Mill Mountain Theatre, the world-class Jefferson Center and more.
