Wednesday afternoon in the PH gym, Calfee signed to play football for the maroon and gold of The University of Charleston, located in the West Virginia capital, a Division-2 program in the Mountain East Conference.

Calfee, who also considered East Tennessee State, said during the ceremony that The University of Charleston was the perfect fit.

“It’s a beautiful school and the coaches loved me,” Calfee noted. “I could just see myself playing there.”

Calfee was a multi-year starter at quarterback for Patrick Henry under head coach Alan Fiddler.
