Prescient Words of Political Gobbledygook

Noah Webster, Jr. developed a real American centerpiece back in 1828. It was called the American Dictionary of the English Language. What an achievement; The Preface of this monumental work reads as follows: “In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed. No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.”

Noah was considered a master linguist using the Bible as a foundation for his definitions. Anyone that produced such a tome for the general public today would need to go underground to remain in good standing with rhetorical political correctness and government regulations.

But alas, a replacement for Noah has arisen; his name is John Kerry. While he uses words like concession and coordination with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Secretary Kerry has belched out a new word.  He and Lavrov have been talking about ‘deconfliction.’ Looking this up in several dictionaries, there is no trace of such a word. A person has to be awful smart just to be confused about this new word. It may mean that our Russian friends can implement any strategy and we’ll get out of their way.

Everything seems to be under our control since a Russian Lieutenant General walked into the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad recently and said that Russian planes would be making bombing runs in about an hour. While at the Embassy, the Russian General requested that the U.S. remove our airplanes from the area. Bombs were dropped over the city of Homs, Syria where surprisingly there are no ISIS fighters reported to be present.

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell interviewed college graduate and White House Deputy Security Advisor Ben Rhodes about the Russian military buildup in Syria and Rhodes declared that, ‘Assad has to go,’ reverberating the words that President Obama used three years ago. The interview offered Rhodes the opportunity to expand on the short form Obama Middle East Policy with words spiraling up to and beyond the area of diplomatic politically correct rhetorical bafflegab.

However, it looks like the normalization of relations with Cuba are turning out very favorably…..for Cuba. Raul Castro addressed the UN in the monumental facade overlooking the East River in New York City dedicated to the proposition that endless debate has positive consequences.

Raul mentioned that ‘normalization’ with the U.S can be achieved when all sanctions (blockades) are removed, Guantanamo Naval Base is returned to its rightful Cuban ownership, destabilizing radio and TV programs are terminated and $1.1 trillion U.S. dollars are allocated to Raul and his fellow citizens in retribution for embargo damages over the past 56 years.

He didn’t mention the $7 billion worth of assets confiscated from U.S. citizens and businesses when brother Fidel commandeered Cuba and became Prime Minister on February 16, 1959. If we were seeking a Caribbean Paradise, why wasn’t debt-burdened Puerto Rico selected over communist Cuba?

Folks, the world is in disarray with people agonizing, fleeing, fighting, dying and terrorizing. And our so-called leaders spend more time creating explanations than solutions. Government officials at every level spew out redundancy vernacular reflecting their spurious dreams that are macabre nightmares. We are hearing the same toxic pulp that has been spewed out for almost eight years. It appears that the torrent of misdirected speech will continue unabated.

Following the seizure of Mosul and Putin’s push into eastern Ukraine, Mr. Obama told a New York Times columnist, “Overall I think there’s still cause for optimism.” The President was also optimistic about the Russian reset…until 2013. Mr. Obama has stated that the U.S. is on the right side of history. It’s challenging to contemplate that the President believes some of the sanguine proclamations that he notoriously exhales.

In early September of this year, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told the world that God willing, Israel would not be around in 25 years and the UN remains silent. John Kerry should come up with a new word that excuses our languor and desertion of friends in the face of adversity.
