Starting Tuesday, March 3,Roanokers are invited to enjoy the Top of the Taubman. “This extraordinary building is a community space, and we are pleased to provide access to as much of it as possible,” says Executive Director Della Watkins. The Top of the Taubman includes a third floor lobby, balcony overlook, boardroom, meeting and special event spaces, and staff offices.

Museum staff predicts that the balcony will be an extremely popular destination, given the scenic views of the valley, downtown Roanoke, and the train tracks. Visitors will be able to capture and share memories of those views, and maybe a few selfies using the new Union Bank & Trust Smile Frame.

The Smile Frame is just that… an empty frame guests can use to chronicle a visit to the Top of the Taubman. “Union is pleased to be the Smile Frame Sponsor for the Taubman Museum of Art,” said Rick Webster, Regional President for Union Bank & Trust. “The building’s expanded access will open up new opportunities for the museum and will surely bring smiles to visitors.”

Meeting and event space rentals are available in connection with the Top of the Taubman. Please contact Crystal Padley, Special Events Coordinator, at 540.204.4139 or [email protected].
