The Market Gallery’s opening reception for its first 2015 theme show, “IDENTITY,” was held during Art by Night on Friday, January 2.

The exhibit explores a wide variety of media and techniques on cradled 9″ x 12″ panels that reveal 100 different artists’ conceptions of the very idea of identity: what the word means personally to them and/or what it means in our society at the beginning of the 21st century. The show hangs from December 30, 2014 through February 28, 2015.

The Market Gallery, a regional artists’ cooperative, is open 10 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday – Saturday at 23 Salem Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24011, the corner of Wall St and Salem Ave in Roanoke’s historic downtown market.
