Sunday afternoon brought an electrifying performance by Maestro David Stewart Wiley of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra as he returned to Heights Community Church (formally Virginia Heights Baptist Church) for “A Wiley Family Christmas.”
Wiley was joined by his wife, Leah, an acclaimed soprano and actress, and their two children, daughter Mara on violin and son Misha on cello, for a performance of classical and baroque Christmas music by various masters, along with favorite holiday carols.
David Stewart Wiley brings a strong national reputation to the Roanoke Valley as an experienced and energetic orchestra builder, sharing his many talents as a conductor, concert pianist, pops arranger and classical and film composer.
