(New) Hope and (New) Change

The mid-term election results on Tuesday, November 4 were historic in proportion. Reports indicate for example that state legislatures are more Republican (conservative) than at any time for the past 86 years. Thirty one state governors will be Republican when the New Year of 2015 rolls around. Scott Walker of Wisconsin has won three elections over the past several years, including a recall effort. Rick Snyder who transformed Michigan to a right-to-work state won re-election. The states of Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, Ohio, Florida and Texas plus 23 others will be led by tax-cutting, budget balancing governors.

In a press conference, the President made reference to the skimpy voter turnout (37%) with the implication that all those that didn’t vote probably would have voted Democratic. His inept staff is smiling approval rather than awakening in their perpetual campaigner boss the reality of the loss. Millions of citizens of this great nation have given up on jobs, healthcare and prosperity. Under this administration, the economic recovery has been slow and painful.

The ‘Hope and Change’ fabric of 2009 has become threadbare and the ragged edges of the hopeless hope and inverse change have been revealed to a vast cross section of voters. Our great nation literally stands at the brink of implosion. Billions, perhaps trillions of dollars and inestimable human resources have been squandered on a healthcare law that is the largest involuntary redistribution of wealth in human history and must be repealed. Current immigration laws are ignored and deliberately violated by a reckless federal government. If the administration continues its course of amnesty for the world’s refugees, the US will become larger than China and more autocratic than Russia.

There must be a misunderstanding of the vote by the Obama minions. The voters did not pull the levers for conservatives to ‘work with’ Mr. Obama. The voters sent the message in big capital letters to stop this administration from destroying our great country. If the voting public had wanted smooth sailing and negotiated agreements for all the administration’s proposals, Democrats would have been elected in droves. The problem here is the arrogance and conceit of our reigning Supreme Leader. When he speaks of negotiation and compromise, he means it is going to be done his way. Compromise to Mr. Obama is surrender and capitulation by those with opposing viewpoints. Common ground is always under the shoes of the all-knowing, all wise Chief Executive, Commander-in-Chief.

We the people are fed up with tax and spend policies. We have watched the ‘Russian Reset’ in the prism of reality and seen how ludicrous and ineffective it has been. We have heard about ‘crossing the red line’ in Syria and seen our erstwhile leader shrink from enforcement. Recently it was revealed that secret communications with Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have been sent. The Iranian regime is dedicated to the extinction of Israel; any thoughts to the contrary are preposterous illusions. The public has seen the rolls of welfare entitlements swell to new heights and realize that recipients don’t even have to be seeking employment. We have watched the racial divide widen as events unfolded in the race baiting during the recent midterms.

Working together, the United States can reclaim its proud position of world leadership starting with the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected House and Senate legislators in January 2015. The entire world will be anxiously watching for the restoration of Constitutional adherence by the greatest successful experiment in representative government in world history. Wars, corruption and conquest have contaminated Planet Earth over the past few years diverting efforts of peace and prosperity. The mantel of failed leadership, corruption and obfuscation must be extinguished from the halls of government and replaced with the bright sunshine of public knowledge and participation. The US will resume its position of arbiter of global conflicts, defender of human rights and proponent of fair trade among nations.

Future administrations must rebuild the economy, racial and gender neutrality, the tax code, Constitutional government, the regulatory society and an environment of liberty, freedom and inspiration for individual self reliance and private enterprise.
