Museum Announces Exhibition Celebrating 100th Birthday of O. Winston Link

Link PicThe O. Winston Link Museum has announced the release of a special exhibition celebrating the life and work of O. Winston Link. The exhibition will feature materials sourced from the Link Vault as well as artifacts and prints never before placed on public view including examples of Link’s commercial, industrial, personal, advertising, & rail photography.

Participants will learn about the methods and techniques used to produce the panoramic masterpiece S1a Switcher Locomotive at Schaffer’s Crossing as well as see the original composite Link assembled by hand prior to creating the version that is on display in The Link Galleries.
Attendees will also see what Link saw from the highest points of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge Construction Project and a stunning series of Brooklyn landscapes.

“We’re incredibly excited to present these prints and artifacts to the public. It is a rare privilege to have such a wealth of wonderful works spanning a life as influential as Winston’s,” said Mike C. McNeil the museum’s director.

The public is invited to join The O. Winston Link Museum on November 14th at 7 pm for a special reception and viewing of the exhibition. Refreshments will be provided.
