On Saturday October 18, for one night only, at 7 pm the Southwest Virginia Ballet (SVB) is commemorating its 25th anniversary season by presenting a free performance for the residents of the Roanoke Valley at the Mill Mountain Theatre Trinkle Main Stage.

MamLuft&Co. Dance features SVB alumnus, Susan Honer, as a performer and assistant choreographer.

Recently named “Best Dance Company Pushing the Envelope” by CityBeat in 2012, MamLuft&Co. Dance has been described by Rick Pender of CityBeat as a company that “will both impress you with technique and provoke you with thoughtful choreography.”

MamLuft&Co. Dance is in its seventh season of working to bring more Modern Dance (and a better understanding of it) to more people in innovative and palpable ways. Under the direction of Jeanne Mam-Luft and Assistant Choreographers Susan Honer and Ashley Powell, the company seeks to provide opportunities for artists and audiences to create, advocate for, and educate through Modern Dance that is both accessible and also challenging at the same time.

SVB is also offering a free master class with dancers from MamLuft&Co. for intermediate to advanced dancers (ages 13-18 ) at The Dance Centre of Southwest Virginia on Saturday, October 18, from 2-4 pm.  To register call Carol at 540-387-3978.
Tickets are reserved seating and are limited to four per order. Reserved seats will be held until 10 minutes before the curtain and then will be released to the standby line.
