2014 Dixie Youth Baseball World Series Competition

Eight year old Peter Honse and his Youngsville, North Carolina baseball team has returned from Texarkana, Arkansas as runner-up in the Dixie Youth Baseball machine-pitch World Series.

Peter is the son of Jon and Jenea Honse formerly of Roanoke now residing in Youngsville, North Carolina and the Grandson of Jay and Betty Honse of Fincastle, VA.
Peter played third base for the Youngsville team that went undefeated in their local All Star Tournament to secure a spot in the North Carolina State Tournament in Charlotte. They went undefeated in their State division to become the North Carolina State representative in the Machine Pitch World Series in Texarkana AK.
The Youngsville team was undefeated in their World Series pool play defeating GA, AK, TX, VA, and LA . In final bracket play, Youngsville defeated South Carolina twice and lost in the championship game to Florida.  The Youngsville team won the Around the Horn competition between the Word Series teams and Peter Honse won the Home Run Derby.
